Clare Sutherland has considerable experience as both performer and teacher on piano andharpsichord. After studying at the Royal College of Music with Bernard Roberts and Ruth Dyson, shewas awarded an arts council scholarship to continue her studies with Trevor Pinnock. She hasperformed in many prestigious venues such as the Purcell Room, Wigmore Hall, Queen Elizabeth Halland the National Theatre, as well as over seas. Her teaching career has included posts at NapierUniversity, Marlborough Summer School, and The Purcell School. Clare has also been a coach andaccompanist for Oxenfoord International Opera Summer School since 1982, and was an examiner andmentor for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music for 10 years. She is presentlyteaching in Edinburgh and is a member of staff at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
