Jiaxi Wang is the CPP4 level co-ordinator. They deliver the Artist in Development module and are a mentor for Into The New performance making. Jiaxi is also a CPP3 Placement supervisor and teaches on the Performance Writing module.

Apart from CPP, Jiaxi also works as a writer and producer. They were part of Soho Theatre Writers Lab 21/22. Jiaxi’s most recent production is the monologue comedy The Slug Show which was premiered at Camden People’s Theatre in 2021 as part of the Sprint Festival. Subsequently a reading of the play was shown at Nottingham University in 2022 as part of the Chinese Art Festival hosted by QueerChinaUK. Outside of the UK, Jiaxi’s writing can be seen on BIEDE (Vice China). They had also curated a public participatory performance Fake Proposal as part of Shanghai Picnic Festival in 2021 at The Tank.

Jiaxi trained in Creative Producing at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. They studied Art History at the Central Academy of Fine Art, Beijing and were trained in Fine Art.

As a practitioner, Jiaxi makes identity-led performance, public participatory shows, and writes interactive fiction. You can find their work in Shanghai, Beijing, London, and online! They also work as a producer and are experienced in international touring with focus on China.

Jiaxi studied Creative Producing (MFA) at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Before that they studied Art History at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing and worked in visual arts.
