Obsession. Murder. Cannibalism. Sondheim.

Attend a tale of justice in an unjust world as Sweeney Todd arrives back in Victorian London, after fifteen years of false imprisonment, to seek vengeance against the judge who destroyed his life. Todd joins forces with Mrs. Lovett, the unhinged proprietress of a failing pie shop, and together they develop a spinetingling plot to exact revenge…but who gets eaten and who gets to eat?

Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler’s multi-award-winning masterpiece returns to the New Athenaeum stage featuring our final-year BA Musical Theatre cohort in a new production directed by Aaron Lee Lambert.
