The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland presents

Amélie

Musical Theatre

Page Navigation

In 1990s Paris, we meet a retired trapeze artist managing a café, a greengrocer who’s a bit of a bully, a photobooth-obsessed loner, and a reclusive painter who endlessly reproduces Renoir’s The Luncheon of the Boating Party. And then there’s Amélie Poulain, a young woman who lives quietly in the world but loudly in her mind.

This quirky and charming musical is based on Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s 2001 film and has been seen on Broadway and in London. With a light, sophisticated and Gallic-flavoured score, brought to life by a cast that includes actor-musicians, Amélie is a celebration of eccentricities, small pleasures, and the possibility around every corner.

This amateur production is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals. All authorised performance materials are also supplied by Concord Theatricals. www.concordtheatricals.co.uk
